Palliative Care at
Jeremiah’s Home
Jeramiah’s Home is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate palliative care to individuals who are abandoned and bedridden, or suffering from chronic illnesses. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for destitute patients who require extended medical and emotional care, particularly those referred from General Hospital Ernakulam, Government Medical College Kalamassery, Kottayam, and other government hospitals.
We offer palliative care in various modes to ensure we meet the specific needs of every patient, including:
- Inpatient Care (IP) for Male Patients: Dedicated facilities and 24*7 care to support male bedridden patients.
- Inpatient Care (IP) for Female Patients: A separate unit with 24*7 specialized care for female bedridden patients.
We also provide palliative home care, bringing comfort and professional care to patients in their own environments.
Comprehensive Palliative Care
At Jeramiah’s Home, we offer comprehensive palliative care that addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of our patients who are destitutes and bedridden. Our dedicated healthcare team provides quality care in both our inpatient care units and through home care services, focusing on improving the quality of life for each patient while ensuring comfort, dignity, and support.
We provide 24/7 inpatient care for male and female bedridden patients, including personalized care plans, pain management, and emotional support. Alongside skilled palliative nursing staff, our team includes physiotherapists, caregivers, and volunteers who work together to support both the physical and emotional well-being of our patients. Volunteers also offer essential companionship and spiritual care, helping patients cope with their emotional challenges. We also provide meals to all our patients to support their physical well-being.
For patients who prefer to remain at home, we offer home care services, where our team provides the same level of comprehensive care, ensuring that patients receive the necessary treatments, medications, emotional support, and meals in the comfort of their own homes.
Medical Equipment Lending
Jeramiah’s Home is committed to supporting patients in, Vypin community through our medical equipment lending program. We provide essential aids such as oxygen concentrators, wheelchairs, patient beds, air beds, and mobility aids, free of cost to individuals in need. Recognizing that many people with chronic or life-limiting conditions require specialized equipment for comfort and independence, we aim to alleviate the financial burden by offering these resources within the local community.
Our program is designed to provide essential medical equipment to the community at no charge, ensuring that individuals have the resources necessary for their well-being. By providing medical equipment at no charge, we help eliminate barriers to effective palliative care, enabling patients to manage their health with dignity and comfort, at their home, in familiar environments.
