How it began

Some of our inpatients need more than a bed and a nurse — oxygen, suction, and someone watching closely through the night. For a long time, that meant moving them to a hospital for care that was often simple, but constant. Each move was hard on the patient, and it stretched us too: the cost, and the staff we had to send along to stay with them.

So we created Anjali Lifecare — a dedicated hospice area where patients receive that care right here, among people who know them. We have since opened it to other patients and families who need it as well.

The hospice was opened by Rotary District Governor Dr. G. N. Ramesh, and its equipment was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cochin International.
